WooCommerce & Shopify re-platforming
Your store outgrew WooCommerce. Give it room to grow.
When every plugin update breaks something and pages crawl, the template has become the bottleneck. We move your store to a fast, custom platform you own, built around how you actually sell, ship and manage orders.
Signs your store is root-bound
- 1Pages load slowly, especially product and checkout pages
- 2Plugin updates regularly break checkout, shipping or tax
- 3You pay for a stack of plugins and apps to do basic things
- 4Wholesale pricing, custom products or fulfillment need workarounds
- 5Your team spends more time fighting the admin than selling
§01What changes
From rented and fragile to owned and fast.
Before
A template store today
- Dozens of third-party plugins, each with its own updates and risks
- Features limited to what the theme and plugins allow
- Slow pages that cost you customers and rankings
- Monthly app and plugin fees that keep growing
After
A custom platform with Cusic Digital
- Lean custom code with no plugin bloat
- Checkout, shipping and admin built around your workflow
- Fast pages on modern Next.js and Node.js
- Code and infrastructure you own outright
§02How it works
A clear path, one stage at a time.
Stage 01 · Plant
Store review
We look at your current store, plugins, integrations and traffic to find what is slowing you down and what must carry over.
Stage 02 · Root
Migration blueprint
A fixed-scope plan covering products, customers, order history, payments, shipping and a redirect map for your existing URLs.
Stage 03 · Grow
Build and test side by side
The new store is built in sprints while your current one keeps selling. You review working features as they land.
Stage 04 · Tend
Switch over and keep growing
We launch, monitor closely and stay on to maintain the platform and add what you need next.
Field study · Great Lakes Additive
How Great Lakes Additive left WooCommerce behind.
A 3D printing manufacturer was held back by a WooCommerce store running 15 plugins, where pages took over 8 seconds just to start arriving. We rebuilt it as a custom Next.js platform with Stripe payments, Shippo fulfillment and an admin portal: server response dropped to 0.2 seconds and mobile pages load 4 times faster. We still maintain it today.
Client note
“Reliable, expeditious and courteous are but a few of his positive traits.”
Questions owners ask
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my search rankings if I move off WooCommerce or Shopify?
A migration is planned to protect them. We map every important old URL to its new page with permanent redirects, carry over titles and descriptions, and monitor search performance after launch.
Can you move my products, customers and order history?
Yes. Moving your catalog, customer accounts and order history is part of the migration blueprint, and we check the data before switching over.
Will my store go offline during the move?
No. The new platform is built and tested alongside your current store, which keeps taking orders until the switch-over.
Why custom instead of another template or Shopify theme?
A template is the right choice for many new stores. Custom makes sense when you have outgrown it: when plugins, app fees, speed or unusual workflows are costing you more than they save.
How much does a store migration cost?
It depends on the size of your catalog, your integrations and your workflows. After a free consultation you get a written, fixed-scope proposal before any work starts.
