Website speed & PageSpeed scores

Is a slow website costing you customers?

Google's PageSpeed Insights grades every website from 0 to 100. A low score usually means pages that keep mobile visitors waiting. We find what is slowing your site down, fix it at the root, and re-test with the same tool so you can check the results yourself.

Signs your site is too slow

  • 1It scores below 50 on mobile in PageSpeed Insights
  • 2Pages take several seconds to show anything on a phone
  • 3The layout jumps around while the page is loading
  • 4Plugins, page builders and trackers keep piling up
  • 5You tried a caching plugin and the score barely moved

§01What we change

Fix the causes, not just the symptoms.

Before

What usually slows a site down

  • Page builders and plugins loading code on every page
  • Images far larger than the screen needs
  • Content assembled in the browser instead of arriving ready
  • Fonts and layouts that shift while the page loads

After

What we put in place

  • Pages that arrive from the server ready to display
  • Only the code each page actually needs
  • Right-sized, modern images loaded in the right order
  • Stable layouts and fonts, with nothing jumping around

§02How it works

A clear path, one stage at a time.

  1. Stage 01 · Plant

    Free speed check

We run your key pages through PageSpeed Insights and explain the results in plain language: what is slow, why, and what it is likely costing you.

  2. Stage 02 · Root

    Find the root causes

We trace where every second goes, from the server and hosting to images, scripts and fonts, and agree a fixed-scope plan.

  3. Stage 03 · Grow

    Fix and verify

We make the changes, then re-test the same pages with the same tool, so you get a before and after you can check yourself.

  4. Stage 04 · Tend

    Keep it fast

Speed tends to slip as content and features are added. Ongoing care keeps your scores where they should be.

§03Why the score matters

A faster site is easier to find and easier to buy from.

PageSpeed Insights is Google's free test of how quickly a page loads and how stable it is on a typical phone. It scores every page from 0 to 100.

Search visibility

Google says the page experience measured by its Core Web Vitals (how quickly the main content loads, how fast the page responds, and how stable it stays) “aligns with what our core ranking systems seek to reward.”

First impressions

When someone finds you on their phone, a page that stays blank for seconds, or jumps around as it loads, looks broken, and leaving takes a single tap.

Questions owners ask

Frequently asked questions

What is a PageSpeed score?

It is the performance score from Google's free PageSpeed Insights tool. It loads your page on a simulated mid-range phone over a slow mobile connection and scores it from 0 to 100: 90 and above is good, 50 to 89 needs improvement, and below 50 is poor.

Does my PageSpeed score affect my Google ranking?

Indirectly. Google's ranking systems reward good page experience, which it measures with Core Web Vitals collected from real visitors. PageSpeed Insights tests the same qualities in a lab, so a better score usually means a better experience. It is one of many signals, and helpful, relevant content still matters most.

Why does my score change every time I test?

Network and server conditions vary slightly from run to run, so scores move by a few points. We test each page several times and report results conservatively.

Can you speed up a WordPress or Shopify site without rebuilding it?

Often, yes: image optimization, removing unneeded plugins and apps, and better caching can make a real difference. When the platform itself is the bottleneck, we will tell you honestly and show what a rebuild would gain.

How much does it cost?

The speed check is free. If you want us to make the fixes, you get a written, fixed-scope proposal before any work starts.
